The Harvest and the Haunted

Der ErlkönigCelebrate the majesty of October with a synthesis of stunningly beautiful autumn depictions, and a sampling of the most terrifying music ever composed – a dramatic overture to the Halloween season. Experience the inspiring serenity of nature, celebration of relief from summer’s oppressive heat, but also the musical incarnations of witches, ghosts, zombies, and demons. We revive our version of Schubert’s Erlkönig, premier a new piece by illumine violinist, David, based on his own ghost story, and so much more.

Compositions by Brown, Falla, Fauré, Menotti, Mussorgsky, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, and Vivaldi
