Sing We Now of Christmas

Albert Chevallier Tayler The_Christmas_Tree_1911What is the Holiday Season without music? In honor of illumine’s first Christmas together as an ensemble, we present a program that is both secular and sacred, completely devoted to the most widely celebrated holiday in the Western World – and the season itself. This concert will take audiences on a journey from the origins of Christmas – the birth of Jesus – through the joys and hardships alike of winter, to the masterworks performed (ie. Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker) and traditional carols sung today.

Compositions by Adam, Bach, Barber, Debussy, Handel, Tchaikovsky, and Vivaldi

PLEASE NOTE:
This concert will conclude with Christmas Caroling! Bring smartphones or tablets for lyrics. If you play an instrument, bring that too!
